Hola!
coffee • music • design
I'm Chris Mejia.
A freelance front-end web developer and graphic designer with 25+ years experience. Along the way, I spent some time working in film and television production, a period in my career that was exciting but man, it was exhausting work. This is the point in my life where I became addicted to coffee, as it was a much needed to fuel for those long hours at the studios. I have no complaints though, because I love coffee! These days I live in Japan, where I'm exploring the country while learning the language and writing the next chapter of my life. While here, I’ve also picked up my camera again. Photography has become my way of putting my design experience into practice, and Japan is a ridiculously good place to practice. Take a look at my photo link in the navigation to see some of my favorite photos that I have taken.
One of Japans gifts to me is the abundance of used records. There are plenty of 2nd hand stores (with a catchy in-store tune) that sell used records in near mint condition. I have been slowly adding to my ever growing collection since moving here.
So what’s next?
A small listening café. I have always dreamed of creating a place where you can enjoy a perfectly pulled latte, while listening to vinyl records spinning through the warm sound of a vintage Hi-Fi system. A place you can meet your friends to enjoy good music and good coffee. This is a work in progress but I’ll continue to update this page as things take shape in the near future. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by!
